Kimberly P. Harris is a shareholder of the firm.  She has been recognized as a Texas Rising Star by the publishers of Super Lawyers (a Thomson Reuters Service) in both 2004 and 2005.  Her career began in 1997, after she graduated from Texas Tech Law School.  During her career, Kimberly has gained extensive experience in commercial and civil defense litigation, trying cases in both Texas state and Federal courts.  She also has prosecuted and defended appeals in Texas courts of appeal and in the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  As a native of West Texas, Kimberly received both her accounting and law degrees from Texas Tech University.  She initially stayed in West Texas after graduation and practiced with McMahon, Tidwell, Hansen, Atkins and Peacock in Odessa, Texas.  Kimberly decided to move to Dallas and joined The Peavler Group in early 2004 and became partner in 2006.  Kimberly later moved to Beasley, Hightower & Hartmann, which became Beasley, Hightower & Harris in 2013.  Kimberly’s primary area of practice is commercial and civil defense litigation.  Specifically, she handles cases involving commercial disputes, breach of contract, general liability and non-subscriber claims of premises liability, products liability, defamation and wrongful death.  Kimberly also has extensive experience in trucking accidents, insurance coverage and bad-faith claims.  Kimberly has published papers on several topics ranging from expert evidence to handling “The Big Case.” Through her experience, Kimberly has learned that, on top of accessibility for clients, the key to effective representation is aggressive, effective advocacy.  Kimberly is involved in numerous charitable organizations including the Junior League of Dallas and Genesis Women’s Shelter.
